Dr. Bandar AlOtaibi
King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology
Dr. Bandar AlOtaibi was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He received the B.S. and M.S Degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department, Concordia University, Montreal (Canada), in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He received PhD degree from McGill University in 2016. At the Electrical and Computer Engineering department in McGill University, he started detailed investigation on the photoelectrochemical hydrogen generation and CO2 reduction using metal-nitride nanowires. His research covers the design of nanostructured photoelectrodes and photocatalysts, materials synthesis and characterizations, photoelectrochemical H2 generation and CO2 reduction experimentation. He is interested in a broad area of semiconductors electronics and physics and electrochemistry for solar-powered artificial photosynthesis applications.
Dr. AlOtaibi holds patent along with Z Mi and S Fan for “Photocathodes and dual photoelectrodes for nanowire photonic devices”.
